Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Heidi ("Heidi", "we", "us") is operated by Heidi German by The European Trader (Matthew Reynolds), Feuerbachstrasse 38, 60325 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. By creating an account or using Heidi you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

Heidi is a web application for learning German vocabulary. We offer a free sample and a full version unlocked by a single one-time payment. We may improve, change or add features over time.

3. Price and payment

The full version is available for a one-time payment of €29.99 (founding price, which may rise later). It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: there is no recurring charge. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter a contract in your country.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

As a consumer in the EU you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because Heidi is digital content supplied immediately, by purchasing and choosing to start using the full version straight away you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once access has begun. Where this does not apply, you may contact us to withdraw within 14 days.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse Heidi: no copying, reselling or redistributing the content, no attempting to break the access controls, and no automated scraping. Your access is a personal, non-transferable licence for your own learning.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design and software in Heidi remain our property or that of our licensors. Your purchase grants you a licence to use the app, not ownership of its content.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Heidi is provided "as is". We aim for accurate, helpful content but make no guarantee of specific learning outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence and to a breach of essential contractual duties; this does not affect mandatory statutory liability (for example for injury to life or health, or under product liability law).

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. The EU provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
